Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
The Silly Snelsons is a private website for the Snelson family. It isn't a public or commercial service, and this policy explains what information the site collects from family members who log in, and how that information is used.
Who This Applies To
Only invited family members have accounts on this site. There is no public sign-up, and the site is not intended for use by anyone outside the family.
Information We Collect
Depending on which features you use, the site may store:
- Your name, username, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form)
- An optional recovery email address, if you choose to set one for password resets or two-factor authentication
- Content you choose to enter into the site's family tools, such as home inventory items and photos, home supply lists, important or family documents you upload, sports card collection details, blog post drafts, announcements, and personal ketamine session journal entries
Sensitive Information
Ketamine session journal entries are personal health information. Each family member can only see their own journal entries — they are never shown to other family members, including Chad and Sarah. Uploaded documents are restricted to the family members designated to manage them.
How We Use This Information
Information is used only to provide the features you use on this site — for example, to log you in, show your own inventory or journal entries, and let designated family members manage shared content like documents or the sports card collection. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not analyze it for any purpose beyond running the site.
Cookies
The site uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It contains no tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics scripts are loaded.
How Information Is Stored
Information is stored in databases on our hosting provider. Passwords are hashed, not stored as plain text, and access to family tools is restricted based on your account's role.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside the family. Chad's blog and sports card collection have public-facing counterparts on separate websites, but only the content he chooses to publish there is shared — account information and personal data on this site are never published.
Your Choices
You can change your password or update your recovery email at any time from your account settings. If you'd like any of your information corrected or removed, just ask Chad.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change too.
Questions
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, just ask Chad.
